Forensic Social Worker

Devon County Council seeks to recruit a creative practitioner to the post of Forensic Social Worker / Approved Mental Health Professional.
You will have good risk assessment skills, and a clear understanding of the challenges facing people with a diagnosis of mental health combined with offending behaviours. You will be joining an established and supportive team of forensic social workers.
This opportunity offers a limited caseload within an inpatient setting, dynamic multidisciplinary working and a beautiful setting with great facilities.

Working in adult social care

As an adult social care worker at Devon County Council, you will be working with and alongside our community health and social care teams, hospital discharge teams and safeguarding teams, as well as others, to ensure the protection and safety of vulnerable adults.
We are responsible for strategic commissioning and delivery of services to adults with mental health needs; those with complex learning and physical disabilities, long-term conditions, and carers supporting these people.
The teams have excellent working relationships with the wider multidisciplinary teams that include mental health and community health teams, and a strong voluntary sector.
Our approach to assessment and support planning aims to enable and empower people to make choices about where and how they live and how we meet their support needs.
