Introduction

This programme is designed for staff who are new to Leading and Managing people or who aspire to this role. Discovering and Assessing your own Leadership style is crucial to the impact you have on an ever changing DCC as well as leading your team to exceed expected targets and outcomes.

The programme introduces participants to an understanding of leadership and management theory and practice and will equip delegates with the knowledge and skills to lead and manage effectively.

It uses a new Survey Monkey 360 degree Feedback and TIFF behaviours questionnaire to discover more about you and your skills and strengths as well as identify areas to develop and grow.

Course AimsTo equip delegates with appropriate knowledge and understanding of their own Leadership style. Improve and adapt their own style and approach to enable them to lead and manage in a way that improves the performance of those around you in achieving the business and organisation outcomes.
Course Objectives
  • Discover more about your own Leadership skills and strengths
  • Use Leadership Theories and approaches to help develop your own leadership style
  • Introduce or Expand your Coaching skills in both understanding your own coaching approach and how to use coaching in supporting others
  • Develop a Leader Workout Action Plan to transfer your learning back in the Workplace
  • Explore what motivates and Engages Staff
  • Understanding and Developing Resilience
  • Review Team Strengths and how to work more effectively as part of a team
  • Project & Presentation Challenge
  • Gain a level 3 Award in Leadership.
Target Group

Recently appointed managers, supervisors and Team Leaders.

Staff who are motivated to progress their career in Leadership and Management and gaining a level 3 qualification.

Methods / ApproachPre-Work, facilitated sessions, group activities, self-directed learning, e-learning, research and assignment qualification. Attendance and participation at the 2 full days and 2 half days must be completed to successfully complete the programme. The ILM Qualification is optional and more details given on Day 1 of the programme to help you decide if you want to opt in.
Duration2 full days & 2 half days plus Pre-Work, E-Learning and self-directed learning elements.

Cancellation Fee

For Non attendance on the day there will be a charge of £250

For cancellations 5 working days before the start date there will be a charge of £100. However, an alternative delegate could attend if appropriate for the course.
