|Introduction||To understand more about the political governance of the County Council and the impact this has on the way we work.|
|Course aims||This course will explore the political face of the organisation in order to understand more about the role of an elected member and contrast this with an officers role. As well as covering Political Governance i.e. how are decisions made, the committee structure and the purpose of Scrutiny and Cabinet meetings.|
|Target group||Anyone who has regular contact with Councillors or takes reports to committees|
|Methods / approach||Learning will take place through direct input and sharing experience.|

For Non-attendance on the day there will be a charge of £80.
For cancellations between 1-5 days prior to the start date there will be a charge of £60.
However, an alternative delegate could attend if appropriate for the course – please contact the Performance Development Admin team for clarification.
