When Performance Becomes an Issue
This workshop enables managers to focus on resolving work-based performance issues. Activities provide practical support and information with performance issues and having difficult conversations.
Working in the Political Environment
To understand more about the political governance of the County Council and the impact this has on the way we work. Learning will take place through direct input and sharing experience.
These courses are not essential for all managers, however you may be asked to complete them as part of your role as a manager.
This workshop is based upon DCC Disciplinary & Capability & Managing Sickness Absence Policies & aims to build the knowledge, skills & confidence required to fulfil the role of Designated / Disciplining Officer.
Investigating officers carry out investigations into situations where an employee’s conduct has been called into question. Attendance on this course accredits people to carry out this specialist role.
Recruitment and Selection
An introduction to recruiting and selecting on behalf of DCC, all those recruiting are expected to complete modules 1-3 and those recruiting posts involving children, young people or vulnerable adults should also complete module 4.
