Laundry

Infection can be transferred from used items of clothing ( service users clothes or staff work wear) linen ( sheets, bedding, towels) and the environments in which they are laundered / stored. Therefore effective laundry management is essential to prevent cross infection between people and to protect staff that transport and handle used laundry/linen.
