- Changes to Exeter Park & Ride Services From 3rd January 2017
Stagecoach are making changes to the Green (Matford) and Blue (Sowton) Park & Rides from 3rd January 2017. The changes are as follows
Blue Park & Ride (Sowton)
This is withdrawn and replaced by an extended Green Park & Ride which will operate as a through service from Matford Park & Ride to Sowton Park & Ride via Marsh Barton, the City Centre and Heavitree. The Paris Street stop will no longer be used, with alternative stops in Fore Street, near the former BHS, High Street (Stop 1) and Sidwell Street. The route is revised and all journeys will operate via Heavitree Road, East Wonford Hill, Honiton Road and Sidmouth Road to Middlemoor. The service will observe all bus stops on route on request.
The journeys which operate as service SR4 via Sowton are also revised and will now operate to and from Sowton Park & Ride in a loop via Moor Lane, Kestrel Way, Bittern Road and Moor Lane. Osprey Road, Avocet Road and Honiton Road will no longer be served.
Green Park & Ride (Matford)
The service will extend to and from Sowton Park & Ride as a through service to replace the Blue Park & Ride. The South Street stop will no longer be used, with alternative stops in Sidwell Street, High Street (Stop 4) and Fore Street.
- Changes to services in Teignbridge and South Hams from 3rd January 2017
Stagecoach are revising services 2, X38 and 39 from the 3rd January 2017. The main changes are as follows, click the service numbers for the revised timetables:
2 The timetable is revised and will now operate every 30 minutes. Evening and Sunday services will continue to operate hourly. X38 The timetable is reduced and will now provide four journeys each way between Exeter and Plymouth. Devon County Council is financially supporting two additional journeys between Exeter and Ivybridge or South Brent, where connections to and from Plymouth are available on the Gold service. 39 The timetable is revised. There is an additional journey to Exeter Monday – Friday, arriving at 0855. The service between Newton Abbot and Bovey Tracey via Heathfield will increase to operate approximately half-hourly for most of the day. The additional journeys to Bovey Tracey operate a circular route via Le Molay-Littry Way, Bradley Road, East Street and Fore Street.
- Changes to services in North Devon from 3rd January 2017
Stagecoach are revising several of their services in North Devon from the 3rd January 2017. The main changes are as follows, click the service number for the revised timetable:
5B Minor changes to the timetable. Most off-peak journeys will run five minutes later from Barnstaple. 5C Timetable revised, with most journeys operating at different times. 8/8A
Services 11A and 11C will operate between Barnstaple Bus Station and Whiddon Valley via either Forches, or Newport and Rose Lane. Buses will run every 20 minutes for most of the day, with two journeys per hour via Forches and one via Newport and Rose Lane.
Service 19 will now run between Roundswell and North Devon Hospital via Barnstaple. All journeys will operate via Gratton Way and this service will no longer serve Woodville. Woodville is served by a revised service 12.
9 The 1533 journey from Bishops Tawton will no longer divert via Park School and Whiddon Valley. An alternative journey for Park School is available on service 11A. 11A/11C New services between Barnstaple and Whiddon Valley, via either Forches, or Newport and Rose Lane. Buses will run every 20 minutes during most of the day, with two journeys per hour via Forches and one via Newport and Rose Lane. 12 Service 12 is extended to serve Woodville and has additional journeys. The new route will operate as a circular service, from Barnstaple via Tower View, Grange Avenue and Woodville. 13 Service 13 is withdrawn as services 11A and 11C now provide an hourly service to Newport, Coppice Gate and Rose Lane. The section of route via Hollowtree Road will no longer be served. 14 This service will now be operated by Stagecoach with a revised timetable and route in Bideford. 15A/15C New services between East the Water and Appledore replacing this section of service 19. Buses will run every 30 minutes for most of the day, with alternate journeys operating clockwise or anti-clockwise around the East the Water and Manteo Way loop, Some work and college time journeys will continue to extend to and from Barnstaple. 16 This service will now be operated by Stagecoach with a revised timetable and route in Bideford. 19 Service revised to operate between Roundswell and North Devon Hospital via Barnstaple. All journeys will operate via Gratton Way and will no longer serve Woodville. The East the Water to Appledore section is replaced by new services 15A, 15C.
Services are revised to operate half-hourly from Ilfracombe or West Meadow Road Braunton, then every 15 minutes between Braunton and Bideford via Barnstaple and half-hourly from Bideford to Westward Ho! 21B The school journey from Westward Ho! to Bideford School is withdrawn. 21C Service is renumbered 21. The service to Georgeham and Croyde remains hourly, with most buses now operating as a through service to Barnstaple Railway Station and Bideford. 75A Additional journeys introduced on Monday to Friday from Bideford to Atlantic Village at 0845, and 1630 and from Atlantic Village to Bideford at 1655. There are no other changes to services 75, 75A and 75B. 85 The 0700 journey from Bude is retimed and now leaves Bude at 0650 and Holsworthy at 0730, to ensure a reliable arrival in Barnstaple. 319 The 0638 journey from Bude is retimed and now leaves Bude at 0630 and Hartland at 0710, to ensure a reliable arrival in Barnstaple. 372 Service is now operated by Stagecoach. The timetable is revised with additional journeys on college days. 641 Service is now operated by Stagecoach. The service now operates to and from Bideford and serves Dartington Fields in Torrington. The morning journey runs ten minutes later between Torrington and Holsworthy.
- Changes to services 5, 5A, 5B, 5C from 3rd January 2017
Stagecoach are reducing the frequency of services between Crediton and Exeter from every fifteen minutes to every twenty. This means that some journeys beyond Crediton to Chulmleigh, Barnstaple and Okehampton will be revised and operate at different times. The main changes are:
5 There will now only be one service 5 journey each hour. 5A Minor changes to the timetable. The 1800 journey from Exeter will leave at 1815. Most off-peak journeys from Okehampton will leave five minutes later. 5B Minor changes to the timetable. Most off-peak journeys from Barnstaple will run five minutes later. 5C Timetable revised, with most journeys operating at different times.
- Changes to service X46 Exeter – Torquay from 28th November 2016
Stagecoach are reducing the frequency of service X46 from 28th November. The service will be renumbered 46 and will now provide four journeys per day, Monday – Saturday. The Sunday service is withdrawn.
CM coaches will be introducing additional Monday – Friday journeys, which will replace some of those withdrawn and provide an earlier journey from Exeter to Torbay, a later return journey and additional daytime journeys. These additional journeys will start from 28th November.
Please note that tickets are not interchangeable between the two operators.
- Changes to services 13 and 13B from 28th November 2016
Stagecoach are making changes to services 13 and 13B from 28th November. This follows the ending of funding for additional journeys between Torbay Hospital and Totnes from Torbay Council and from Devon County Council for additional journeys serving Aller.
The service will now operate between Newton Abbot and Brixham via Aller Brake Road, The Willows, Torbay Hospital, Marldon, Foxhole and South Devon College. The section of route to Totnes will no longer be served. The Saturday and Sunday service is withdrawn.
New service149 will provide a Monday – Friday shopping journey from Marldon to Totnes and a return journey from Totnes to Torbay Hospital, The Willows and Torquay via Berry Pomeroy and Marldon. Service 149 will be operated by Country Bus, under contract to Devon County Council.
The timetable for service 174 will have minor changes and the 1630 journey from Newton Abbot will now operate on Saturday, as well as Monday – Friday.
