How are small providers going to be able to afford to employ or retain an EYT (PVI sector) or afford the cost of a QT (schools)?

The reality is that the increase purely in the hourly rate will not balance the loss of a lump sum unless you are a larger setting. EYT’s can work on a 1:13 ratio and QT’s

with an assistant on a 26:2 ratio so the income levels have been reviewed with regards to the increase costs associated with a higher qualified member of staff.
