Location

The entrance to the Park is off the A382 Bovey Tracey to Newton Abbot road 300m south of the Drumbridges roundabout on the A38 Exeter to Plymouth Expressway (grid reference SX 835752). There is a parking fee of £1.50 for 2 hours or £3.00 from sunrise to sunset with no disabled concessions. Permits can be obtained for £24 a year and are available to buy here. All revenue from car parking goes directly to projects in the Park.

We encourage all visitors to the Park to use sustainable transport links. A cycle route links the Park with Bovey Tracey and Newton Abbot. Refer to the interactive map to find access points. Cycles can be left safely in close proximity to the visitor centre.

There are regular bus services which link the Park (refer to interactive map for bus stop location) to all major towns and villages including Exeter, Plymouth and beyond. To view up to date bus timetables use Traveline South West.

More information can be found in our Access Statement for Stover Country Park.

With grant support from the Wildspace Award for Local Nature Reserves and help from the Ryefields Axcess Group our local bus shelter was given a face lift to make everyone’s visit more pleasant. The area was cleaned, new fences erected, a notice board installed: the shelter was painted and a tile mosaic of the Park’s dragonfly emblem was created. They even made new benches out of Douglas fir that was felled within the Park to make way for lowland heathland habitat.
