This annual Enrichment Day offers on-going professional development to support participants who have previously trained for ‘From Counting to Calculating, Making a Difference’ or ‘Fair and Equal’ or any ECC maths intervention programmes: This is an opportunity for teaching assistants to refresh and deepen their knowledge and understanding of these intervention programmes.
The principle focus of mathematics teaching in KS1 is to ensure that pupils develop confidence and mental fluency with whole numbers, counting and place value”. (National Curriculum 2014) Number Sense is about developing an understanding of numbers and the number system; this understanding underpins calculation.
This 2 day course is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to communicate with young deaf children who use British Sign Language or Sign Supported English. Taught by Deaf role models using BSL, with content relevant to young children’s needs.
This one-day course is aimed at coordinators and teachers who are leading in RE at Primary Schools and will focus on the planning and delivery of exciting learning in RE.
