Moving and Handling of Children with Physical Difficulties – Spring/Summer 2017 Training
It is a legal requirement that staff are adequately trained to carry out their duties at work in relation to the moving and handling of children with physical difficulties. These courses are suitable for anyone working with a child or young person who has physical or movement difficulties.
Full day ‘Initial’ course for those who have not been trained in Moving and Handling previously, and half day ‘Refresher’ course for those who have been trained in Moving and Handling in the past 12 – 18 months (refresher recommended annually).

• Musculo-Skeletal Injury
• Looking After Yourself
• Base to Face Safety Checkpoint
• Client Handling Techniques
• Handling Equipment
If you are handling a child in an early years or childcare setting you may be able to access funding (subject to eligibility) through the DCC Early Years and Childcare Service for this training course.
