Marketing and PR Masterclass: Maximising your School’s Reputation – Thursday 24 May 2018

There has never been greater competition among schools for pupils and teachers. Increasingly schools are realising the importance of boosting their image and reputation to ensure admissions figures are strong and to recruit and retain great staff.

Any organisation is vulnerable to a “crisis” – and schools are no different. Whether it is a weak Ofsted report, allegations against staff or poor exam results, a negative story in the media can have a significantly damaging effect on a school’s reputation.

Ollie Lane, Director and Head of Education, PLMR will explain how schools can: win regular, positive media coverage to achieve their wider objectives, prepare for and navigate a crisis so effectively, that not only can it be managed without reputational damage, but it can be turned into a positive.

The masterclass will also feature Jonathan Bishop, CEO of Cornerstone Academy Trust who has pioneered the way in developing a local, national and international reputation for the school’s innovative use of IT and digital media. In his session he will explain how schools can use a range of multi-media communication channels to improve school to parent communications, target the right message at an appropriate audience and raise the profile of the school.

"Weeks run from Monday to Sunday. Please note that weeks without communications to schools are ignored and the links will go to the last week where a communication was made in this category."
