Annual Primary Science Conference: Mastering Primary Science – Small Changes, Big Impact! | Tuesday 11th July 2017

This one day conference will have a key focus on teaching, learning and assessment in primary science. Delegates will be able to pick up advice, tips and skills whilst having the opportunity to share best practice amongst colleagues in the South West. Keynote sessions from subject experts combined with practical workshops will enable delegates to focus on areas of specific interest and relevance.
Paul Brown, our Lead Adviser for Science, will be introducing the conference and will be available throughout the day for discussions’.

Debbie Eccles and Kate Blacklock from ‘Primarily Science’ will offer advice and practical ideas in how to establish mastery as an approach to science teaching throughout your school.

Jane Turner is a key national figure in the world of primary science, as Director of the Science Quality Mark award scheme. She will draw on her recent work on English policy initiatives and evidence from over 600 schools which achieved a Primary Science Quality Mark in the last year, to provide an overview of the national picture of primary science.

Additionally, there will be a wide variety of workshops available across two sessions to enable you to tailor the day to meet your needs.
