South West Teaching and Learning Conference: Making Professional Development Matter – Monday 2 July 2018
This one day conference will bring together nationally renowned keynote speakers, Philippa Cordingley, David Weston and Dame Alison Peacock to explore the topic of professional development.
The speakers with delve into the current research and look at how you can create a school where pupils succeed and teachers thrive.
Practical case studies as well as the wider evidence will be used to extract the approaches that exceptional schools and leaders take to support effective, collaborative professional learning. The sessions will also examine the research behind leadership, appraisal and professional development and lay out some clear findings about what we need to stop doing, what we need to start doing, and what we need to change.
