Blue Badge parking

The Blue Badge scheme only applies to on-street parking. Badge holders have free use of parking meters and pay-and-display bays. You may also be exempt from limits on parking times (check local signs for information) and can park for up to three hours on yellow lines; except where there is a ban on loading or unloading or other restrictions.

The leaflet Can I get a Blue Badge? explains who may qualify for a Blue Badge.

For information about using a Blue Badge in an off-street parking place (a public car park) in Devon contact the district council responsible for that car park.

Blue Badge holders can still receive parking tickets. Please check on-street parking signs and markings before leaving your car.

The Blue Badge scheme: rights and responsibilities in England gives you more information about the Blue Badge scheme, how it works in England, and your rights and responsibilities.

How to apply for or renew a Blue Badge

You can apply or renew online at GOV.UK or by phoning Care Direct on 0345 155 1007.

If you are a blue badge holder and there is no off-street parking available at or near your property, you may be able to apply for a disabled parking bay.
