In September 2018, Devon County Council, in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions, is launching a campaign, aimed at employers, encouraging them to employ people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and or autism; This campaign is called Ready When You Are. This multimedia and film campaign will focus on employers, encouraging them to recruit people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and or autism. It will also promote the disability confident accreditation which shows people you take equal opportunities seriously.
This campaign will be featured across the whole of geographical Devon, highlighting the skills, abilities and aspirations of real people who are currently seeking employment in Devon.
A bespoke campaign website will direct you to advice and support from Local Employer Advisors at Job Centre Plus who can tailor their service to meet your business needs. This is a no cost service and can support you to think differently about recruitment.
