The Land Charges Team at North Devon Council has retained a top national award for the work that they do.
The team received the Best Performing National Land Information Service (NLIS) Level 2 Land Charges Department award for the second year running at the Land Data Local Local Charges Awards for Excellence in Bristol earlier this month. This is the fourth time the team has won the award after also receiving it in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
The national awards recognise the work and achievements of local authority Local Land Charges department who carry out searches that are required for conveyancing transactions in England and Wales.
Leader of North Devon Council, Councillor Des Brailey, says: “This is excellent news for our team and the residents and businesses of North Devon that the award has been retained for another year. It really does recognise all of the hard work and dedication that goes into the work that the team does everyday to provide a quality service for the district.”
Land Data’s Chief Executive, Jan Boothroyd, says: “It’s a privilege to host these awards as they allow us to recognise the vision and excellent work of Local Land Charges teams and the vital contribution they make to their communities. The standard of entries was again very high this year and it’s great to see the dedication to customer service, effective collaboration across departments and a strong commitment to fast electronic service delivery increasing every year.”
The winner of awards are chosen by a panel of judges from Land Data, the Local Land Charges Institute and the National Land Information Service (NLIS).Posted in: Economy
