Spooktacular Halloween half term events at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon

Posted on: 2 October 2017

Come and get involved in some spooktacular events at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon this October half term, if you dare!

On Wednesday 25 October children can create ghoulish ghosts, scary spiders or even make a mini trick or treat bucket.  The fun runs from 10.30am to 3.30pm, entry is free and there’s no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.

Things get really creepy on Thursday 26 October, as children are invited to bring their torches and come along to explore the museum in the dark!  From 6pm to 7.30pm there will be some real creepy crawlies to handle, freaky face painting and a spooky museum quiz where they can win a goodie bag!  The cost is £2 per child (adults go free) and tickets are available from the museum reception.

Executive Member for Parks, Leisure and Culture, Councillor Brian Moores, says: “The museum is a great place for families to visit, whatever the weather, so we hope that lots of children will join in the Halloween fun there this half term.  Before you end your visit, why not have a drink in our cafe or have a browse around our unique gift shop?”

The Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon is open from 10am to 4pm from Monday to Saturday and admission is free. Check out the museum’s Facebook page to keep up to date with all the latest news and events.
