Posted on: 15 June 2017
Local businesses and organisations interested in grants and funding opportunities for rural projects, can get advice at a Rural Funding briefing in Filleigh later this month.
North Devon Council is hosting the event at Filleigh Village Hall on Thursday 29 June from 9am to 1pm. The briefing is open to rural businesses and anyone with an interest in rural economic development projects in North Devon. At the event you can find out what grants you can apply for and what can be funded, with some grants already open for applications.
At the briefing there will be presentations from the North Devon AONB, Exmoor National Park, Connecting Devon & Somerset, North Devon+, the Rural Payments Agency and HOTSW Growth Hub. There will also be a selection of stands and information from other funding agencies.
Executive Member for Economic Development, Councillor Pat Barker, says: “Rural businesses face different challenges to those in urban areas and many can find themselves at a disadvantage. There are lots of organisations out there that offer support for rural enterprise and we want to help local businesses make the most of the grants and opportunities available to them. Get in touch with our economic development team for more information or sign up for this free event on Eventbrite.”
There are 150 free tickets available for the briefing, search for “North Devon Rural Funding Event” on Eventbrite.com to sign up, or follow the link to the event on North Devon Council’s Facebook page.
