Crafty play day at North Devon museum this half term
Posted on: 24 May 2017
Are you wondering how to keep your little artists entertained in May half term? The Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon can help you out on Wednesday 31 May with a free, yes, we did say FREE crafty play day from 11am – 4pm.
Everyone is welcome to pop into the museum, so come along with some friends, bring your children and have fun creating a fun colour-changing animal together.
While you’re there, why not donate to the Crowdfunder appeal for the new Long Bridge extension? Your support will make all the difference and help them reach their final target of £10,000.
Museum Manager, Alison Mills, said: “Although the bulk of the money for the Long Bridge extension is coming from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Coastal Communities Fund and Fullabrook CIC, the Barnstaple and North Devon Museum Development Trust has launched a crowdfunding appeal to raise the last 5% of funding we need. There are rewards for giving too – for the price of a couple of cups of coffee you can help us out and get a limited edition button badge. For a little more you could get a mug, a Golden Ticket to the opening or even your name on our floor!
“We’re hoping to see lots of families visiting the museum during half-term! Entry to the museum is free and there’s lots to see and do, making it a great place for families whatever the weather. You can finish your trip off with a cuppa and cake in our cafe and a browse round our unique gift shop.”
