Bigger location for meeting on future of health service provision in North Devon

A meeting on the future provision of health services in North Devon is being held at a larger location to allow members of the public to attend.
On Monday 6 March, the Chief Executive of the Northern Devon Healthcare Trust Alison Diamond will give a presentation to the NDC Executive on the Devon Success Regime which is reviewing the way health services are provided across Devon.
To allow for interested members of the public to come along, the meeting will be held at the Cedars in Barnstaple. This follows a similar event held recently when the future of North Devon’s theatres was discussed.
Joint Lead Member for Health and Wellbeing Cllr Dick Jones says: “Many people are concerned about what might happen to our acute services in North Devon. I am equally concerned. I am hoping that Alison Diamond can set out in more detail what the proposals could mean for people in North Devon and provide some reassurances about protecting our most vital services.”
Fellow Lead Member for Health and Wellbeing Cllr Brian Moores says: “It’s important that anybody concerned about these plans can come along and hear directly from the trust what is likely to happen in the future. We are all very concerned about the potential serious impact on our residents and we need to know our voices are being heard.”
The meeting takes place on Monday 6 March at 10am at the Cedars in Barnstaple. The agenda can be downloaded from the council’s website.Posted in: Community
