For something a bit different, during the first Sunday market on 4 December there will be a Christmas circus show at 2pm.The market is open from 10am – 4pm.

On Thursday 8 December Barnstaple Town Council will be hosting their annual Christmas Fayre and carol service from 6.30pm. This highlight is guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit.

There will be a wide range of yummy festive treats available at the monthly REAL food market from 10am – 4pm on Sunday 11 December.

There are further opportunities for late night shopping on Thursday 15 and 21 December, with the market open from 6pm – 9pm. Both evenings include a delicious Christmas street food party, which will keep your energy up for all that shopping!

The final Sunday Christmas market will take place on Sunday 18 December from 10am – 4pm, but this won’t be your last chance to pick up something special at the market for Christmas – the market is open on weekdays and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm for all of your shopping needs.

Executive Member for Economic Regeneration, Councillor Pat Barker says: “There is a wonderful range of events planned at the market for this year’s festive period, with something for everyone to enjoy. The Pannier Market is such an important part of the town centre, it’s lovely to see such a busy Christmas schedule.”

The market closes at 4pm on Christmas Eve, reopening on Wednesday 28 December. It will also close at 4pm on Saturday 30 December, reopening Tuesday 2 January.
