Have your say on design of new play area
Posted on: 21 November 2016
Local people are being offered the chance to have their say on the design of a new play area in Braunton.
North Devon Council is holding a consultation event to find out what local people think about designs for the new play area at Pill Gardens in Braunton. It’s taking place from 4pm – 7pm on Tuesday 29 November in the drama room at the Braunton Academy.
The event follows officers from the council’s Parks Team visiting Southmead Primary School and talking to pupils to find out what sort of equipment they would like to see at the play area.
North Devon Council’s Executive Member responsible for leisure, Councillor Dick Jones, says: “This is a great opportunity to have your say and make your mark on what the new play area will look like. The pupils involved in the first consultation put forward some brilliant suggestions for us to work with. I hope that the end result is just what they are looking for.”
The drama room will be sign posted from the pedestrian entrance to the school on Barton Road. Visitor parking is also available on site.
The £43,000 play area is being funded by section 106 contributions gleaned from housing developments as part of their planning applications.Posted in: Leisure
