Bags of free fun at Barnstaple Pannier Market this Easter

Posted on: 18 March 2016

Spring is definitely in the air at Barnstaple Pannier Market, with the return of Monday markets, Easter activities and a fantastic shopping bag giveaway.

On Saturday 26 March the Easter bunny will be dishing out chocolate eggs to young visitors, while they try their luck at a free egg hunt around the market. Borderline Morris dancers will also be performing throughout the day, so pop in and enjoy some traditional entertainment while you’re out shopping.

Monday markets return on Monday 4 April, offering even more opportunity to visit the town’s unique indoor market. With a wide variety of stalls, including fresh local produce, books, gifts, clothing, crafts and antiques, the market will be open six days a week from April until Christmas, with many Sunday events throughout the year.

The Pannier Market is also introducing a very special offer this Spring. Spend over £5 with one of our traders to receive a voucher for a free Pannier Market jute shopping bag, redeemable in the market while stocks last.

Executive Member for Economic Development, Councillor Pat Barker, says: “Spring has definitely sprung at the market with the return of Monday markets and the annual egg hunt, offering shoppers some free family entertainment. Make sure you pick up one of the market’s free reusable shopping bags while you’re there – as well as caring for your environment, you’ll also be helping us to promote the town’s wonderful pannier market while you’re out and about shopping.”
