Oaklands Park School, Dawlish

Devon Council’s Cabinet has approved a change of provision at Oaklands Park School, Dawlish, from 30 day places and 25 residential places for boys and girls aged 3-19 years to provision for 60 pupils, boys and girls aged 3-19 years, 17 of which would be resident.  The residential element would be for 7 students on a termly basis and 10 on a weekly basis; also the re-designation of the school from Severe Learning Difficulties to Severe Learning Difficulties, Complex Communication and Interaction Difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) with effect from 31 July 2016.  The Children’s Home at Oaklands Park has been closed and the school will be providing boarding provision but will not be offering respite care.
