Ellen Tinkham School: Decision

Following consultation, Devon County Council’s Cabinet has approved a proposal to enlarge Ellen Tinkham School, Exeter, Devon from 131 to 155 places with effect from Autumn 2016.

The School is currently registered to provide day places for 131 boys and girls aged 3 to 19 with Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs.  The school is designated as Outstanding and is currently oversubscribed.  With increased growth in the area, the number of places available needs to be increased to meet demand and is in line with the planning and commissioning of Special Needs provision and Devon’s Local Offer.
