East Down – Definitive Map Review Informal Consultation

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires the County Council to keep the Definitive Map of Public Rights of Way under continuous review and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, regraded, amended or deleted. A review of the Definitive Map is currently being undertaken in the Parish of East Down .

We are now consulting on the investigation of a number of proposals for changing the Definitive Map in the parish, and also affecting parts of Marwood.

For more information please see attached consultation schedule and maps.

Maps showing the existing public rights of way, and proposals to modify the Definitive Map, are available for inspection by appointment with the Clerk to East Down Parish Council, at the North Devon Council, Civic Centre, Barnstaple, and also at County Hall at the address below, during office hours.

If anyone has further evidence for or against the proposals in connection with the routes concerned, or any additional suggestions for other alterations or additions to the Definitive Map for East Down parish, please contact us by 23 December 2016.
