Complex Lives – Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse
Devon County Council commissions and provides a range of statutory and non-statutory provision and interventions for people with support needs in relation to domestic and sexual violence and abuse. We have recently redrafted our strategy which aims to end Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse using a range of methodologies including; ethnographic research, interviews with people working in the system, a perpetrator focus group and a number of pieces of work to supplement our comprehensive 2013 Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse Joint Strategic needs Assessment. We have drafted a Domestic and Sexual Violence and Abuse Service Specification, that responds to our strategy and helps move us towards our aim.
The key changes to the proposed provision are outlined in the overview of changes document below, and reflect the main themes which emerged from people’s stories and from feedback from a range of stakeholders.
Please note the consultation will close at 12 noon on 3 July.
