A great opportunity to get some fresh air and exercise whilst taking part in some practical habitat management. Tasks are varied and all tools are provided. Just bring along lunch and suitable outdoor clothing.


The Flock that Rock – Tiverton Swan Sculpture Trail 

Wednesday 3rd April 2024

From Easter 2024 Tiverton invites families to embark on a journey through the heart of our charming town with the unveiling of The Flock that Rock – Tiverton Swan Sculpture Trail.

The launch of the trail will be held at the Grand Western Canal Basin in April 2024, which will kick-start a summer of celebrations for the Tivertonian’s 50th anniversary.

Collect your trail maps from the Tourist Information Centre (at Tiverton Museum) and the Visitor Centre at the Canal Basin. Twelve swans will be located around the town, with a naughty escapee 13th swan, ‘Swanning Around’, to find. It will keep everyone entertained this summer! Walk & Talk

Join Rangers for a midweek walk and discover the sights and sounds of the Country Park. Part of Tiverton’s Twalkers  ‘Walk for Health’ scheme. This walk starts at: Tbc. Please arrive by 10:20am.

 


Tivertonian’s 50th Anniversary Open Day

This year Tiverton Canal Co. celebrate ’50 Years’ of The Horse Drawn Barge in Tiverton Devon.
They are making plans for ‘Party Events’ to celebrate the 50th as well as an Open Day on 13th July.

Wild Wednesdays

Join Rangers at the Grand Western Canal for a series of children’s activity days throughout the Summer holidays discovering what wildlife lives at the canal or make something using natural materials from the Country Park.

Mid Devon’s Walking Festival 2024

As part of the Mid Devon Walking Festival Canal Rangers will be leading a midweek walk to help you discover all the sights and sounds of the Country Park. Part of Tiverton’s Twalkers  ‘Walk for Health’ scheme. This walk starts at: Tiverton Road Bridge Car Park. Please arrive by 10:20am.

Christmas Wreath Making Workshop

Join Rangers at the Grand Western Canal to make a Christmas wreath and a selection of decorations using natural materials from the Country Park.
