Welcome to the Educational Register of Geological Sites which is designed to encourage the educational use of Devon’s fascinating and diverse geological and geomorphological heritage. The register includes a mix of text, sketches, maps and photos for approximately 90 geological sites throughout Devon that are considered suitable for educational use. This information is also great for those with a personal interest in geology. The Register can provide a stimulating way to teach and also to learn about the geological evolution of Devon’s landscape. It is designed to be of use in the planning of fieldwork trips and can also make a valuable contribution to the teaching of geography, geology and science in the National Curriculum.
