Start Up Loans Scheme
The government-backed Start Up Loans Scheme is still available to start-up businesses throughout the South West region which have been trading for up to two years.

South West businesses can access the scheme via SWIG Finance which provides low-interest loans alongside business mentoring. SWIG Finance has invested £6.75 million into more than 1,000 local businesses since 2012.

Seedbed Programme
A government funded partnership between Dartington Hall Trust, Plymouth University and SWIG Finance, SEEDBED is designed to help social ventures in the South West to develop, grow and succeed. The fund provides access to business support and unsecured loans up to £50,000.

Regional Growth Fund
SWIG Finance has also received approval to recycle their Regional Growth Fund allocation which they have matched with funding from Lloyds Bank.  The fund has a total value of £700,000 with loans available across the South West of between £10,000 and £100,000.
