The Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Hub runs three programmes to encourage innovation in engineering:
SME Leaders Programme
This programme supports the promising leaders of high-growth engineering SMEs. The programme aims to support development of leadership skills through masterclasses and workshops, coaching, PR support and a grant of up to £10,000 towards training courses.
This programme supports innovative, creative entrepreneurial engineers who have demonstrated an exceptional innovation in engineering which they want to develop further.
Enterprise Fellowships are open to: researchers wishing to spinout a company from a university or research institute; recent graduates wishing to create a company; and international PhD students based in the UK wishing to spin out or start up. The programme includes expert advice, up to £60,000 equity-free funding, mentoring, training, PR, marketing and access to workspace.
An annual competition to help a budding engineering entrepreneur aged 18-25 to start a business based on their engineering innovation. The award comes with seed funding of £15,000 and membership of the Enterprise Hub.
