Fund description:

The Innovation Growth Lab is a global collaboration that develops and tests different approaches to support innovation, entrepreneurship and growth.

The main aim of this call is to fund randomised controlled trials (RCTs) that provide evidence on the best approaches to increase innovation, support high-growth entrepreneurship and accelerate business growth.

Suggested topics for trials include:

For science and innovation – approaches to supporting invention; managing innovation processes; technology transfer; intellectual property; innovative procurement; skills development.

For entrepreneurship and business growth – overcoming barriers to start-up and growth; business support and investment readiness programmes; cohort-based entrepreneurship programmes; mentoring and advices for start-ups or SMEs; entrepreneurship education.

Applications are invited from programme delivery organisations working collaboratively with researchers to gain a better understanding of their interventions and programmes to support innovation, entrepreneurship and business growth. Programme delivery organisations requiring help to identify suitable research partners need to register their interest in this by 10 September; research organisations can apply without a programme delivery partner.

Grants to implement RCTs or small grants for RCT design, feasibility studies or pilot projects are available. Funding will be between 10,000 USD and 100,000 USD.
