HSBC UK Bank has announced a £10 billion lending fund to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK. The aim is to help businesses realise their growth ambitions with a particular focus on encouraging small enterprises to explore opportunities for exporting.
The Fund is UK-wide and is being allocated in regional tranches. It is available to HSBC and non-HSBC customers and includes:
- loans (subject to HSBC’s usual lending criteria)
- 18 months of fee-free business banking for start-ups
- 12 months of fee-free banking for existing SMEs who switch their banking to HSBC
- interactive business tools eg. briefings, checklists and other resources to help launch, run and develop a business
