Fund title: Good Finance
Focus of fund/fund aims:
A new website to help charities and social enterprises find out about social investment
Social investment is the use of repayable finance to achieve a social as well as financial return: charities and social enterprises benefit from the investment enabling them to grow their business and meet their social objectives; investors receive a financial return when their investment is repaid as well as contributing to the social outcomes.
Good Finance is a new website and collaborative project to help charities and social enterprises navigate social investment. The new site addresses a commonly identified problem from organisations – that social investment is often confusing and complex to understand, with there being too little information available about how and where to access it.
The new website contains up-to-date content and case studies, a tool to help users assess if social investment is right for them and a directory of social investors and advisers.
