Fund description:

The Foyle Foundation is an independent grantmaking trust that distributes grants to UK charities. There are three grant schemes:

Main Grants Scheme, supporting charities whose core work covers Arts and Learning

Arts projects should support the visual or performing arts and activities can include helping to make the arts more accessible, encouraging new work and supporting young and emerging artists. (NB. community arts activity is not generally supported)

Learning projects should facilitate the acquisition of knowledge and have a long-term strategic impact. Funding can be granted to libraries, museums and archives, projects to support special educational needs and university-led projects with a clear public benefit.

Small Grants Scheme

Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 for small charities in all fields with a turnover of less than £100,000 a year.

The Foyle School Library Scheme

This is the main funding route for schools, with priority given to primary schools. Most grants will be for books and reading materials.
