Grants for charitable community-based organisations that provide care, activities and services for older people

The Dunhill Medical Trust supports community-based organisations that are working to enhance the lives of those who need extra support in later life. The trust particularly likes to support projects which have the potential to “scale up”, share resources and experience with others and attract other sources of support.
There are two funding schemes for charitable community-based organisations that work directly with older people:
Project grants – £5,000 to £40,000 for innovative time-limited projects that focus on the development of care and support services for older people
Building and physical infrastructure grants – £5,000 to £100,000 for the provision of accommodation/developments in the built environment for older people to enhance and maintain their health, well-being and independence and/or specific pieces of equipment or furnishings
The Trust also funds academic and clinical research in the UK into understanding the mechanisms of ageing and treating age-related diseases.
