Fund title: Countryside Productivity Scheme

Grants are available for improving forestry productivity and water resource management under the Countryside Productivity Scheme which is part of the Rural Development Programme for England, funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
Private forest holders managing at least 10ha of forest and micro, small, or medium-sized forestry contractor businesses in England can apply for grants towards:
- improving forestry productivity through felling, extraction and adding value by primary processing of timber products
Arable and horticultural businesses growing or intending to grow irrigated crops can apply for grants towards:
- improving farm productivity through more efficient use of water for irrigation
- securing water supplies for crop irrigation by the construction of on-farm reservoirs
Grants can cover up to 40% of costs. The minimum grant is £35,000.
