The Community Business Bright Ideas Fund has published updated guidance notes ahead of application round 3 which opens on 1 November. This is the last round of the two-year programme which offers tailored support and grants of up to £15,000 to groups developing a new community business.
Applications can be made by community groups, associations and organisations across England which have a good idea for a community business but need help developing it, or which are just starting out. Applicant organisations must not have been constituted for more than 5 years at the time of making an application.
It aims to give community groups the early stage finance they need to carry out consultations with local people to develop a community business idea the community wants and needs and will also give them support and tools to start setting up their community businesses.
