Fund title: Big Lottery Fund: name change
Focus of fund/fund aims:
The Big Lottery Fund is changing its name to the National Lottery Community Fund from 30 January 2019.
The Big Lottery Fund has announced that it will be changing its name: from 30 January 2019 it will be known as the National Lottery Community Fund.
The Big Lottery Fund supports projects that bring people together to make a difference to their health, wellbeing and environment. Last year alone it gave out £508.5 million of National Lottery funding to community projects across the UK. Over 11,000 projects benefitted from this, enabling people and communities to bring their ideas to life.
The change is being made in order to make it clearer what the organisation is and does and to support the long-term health of the National Lottery.
