Fund description:

Access Foundation has been set up to help charities and social enterprises prepare for social investment. The aim is to make it easier for charities and social enterprises in England to access the capital they need to grow and increase their impact.

Access has two core programmes:

Growth Fund – a blend of grants and loans for charities and social enterprises, delivered through a range of intermediaries:

Applications from organisations which want to run a new loan fund will be closing in December 2017. More information

Charities and social enterprises that are looking for a flexible unsecured loan under £150,000 can find a suitable Growth Fund social investor here.

Capacity Building – for 2016-18, Access is funding three programmes to support charities and social enterprises to be better able to take on a loan:

Reach Fund – grants of up to £15,000 for charities and social enterprises to pay for specific investment readiness support to help them raise investment

Impact Management Programme – help for charities and social enterprises to analyse and respond to the data they collect in order to improve their programmes and services. Includes Impact for Growth which consists of training and grants to develop projects to improve systems and processes.
Impact for Growth is open until 29 January 2018.

Connect Fund – support for intermediaries and infrastructure organisations to make social investment work better for a wider range of charities and social enterprises. The Connect Fund is not intended for frontline charities or social enterprises working directly with beneficiaries.
