Under Section 21 of the Flood and Water Management Act, lead local flood authorities are required to maintain a register and record of all structures and features that are anticipated to have an effect on flood risk in the area.
The record is kept and maintained by DCC and includes detailed information about each of the assets contained within it such as information on ownership and state of repair.
The register contains only basic information about the structures and features deemed to have an impact on flood risk, such as location and type of structure.
The latest update to the Asset Register can be viewed on the Flood Risk Map. This will be updated quarterly.
