Types of early years provision in schools
If you want to know how to set up early years provision in your school, the following document offers practical guidance:
2-year-olds in school
The Government wants to make it easier for schools to take 2-year-olds. From 26 May 2015, providing a school’s 2-year-old provision meets the requirements for exemption, schools no longer need to apply to register separately with Ofsted. Ofsted should have contacted schools that already have a separate EY registration by Monday 25 May. If schools have not heard by then, they should email Ofsted using the following dedicated account: firstname.lastname@example.org
Working in partnership
Many schools have early years and childcare provision on the school site that is managed by an external partner. If you are interested in having childcare or early years provision at your school please use the document below.
