Pupil Premium (Looked After Children)
Posted on 23 October 2014 by education.finance
Pupil Premium for Looked After Children funding has not been released for April 2014 to March 2015 because this funding is now having to be linked in with Personal Education Plans. Information regarding the process has been sent out via the electronic school distribution communication, has been emailed to Designated Teachers for Children in Care and the Personal Education Plan Co-ordinators also send out details when arranging a PEP meeting. Once a PEP has been quality assured as good or outstanding against the QA criteria, Pupil Premium for that child will be released to the school. See also letter from the Director for Education.
This is now a requirement in the Terms & Conditions of the Pupil Premium LAC. It should be noted that if this funding is not released to schools within the financial year, DCC will have to refund it and therefore it will not get carried forward to future years and will be lost.
