New Budget Plan Released (version 4.05.05)

A new version of the budget plan has been released recently (v4.05.05) due to four bugs being found on the previous version (v4.05.04). You can continue to use the previous version but please be aware that:

1) For one or two schools the benchmark comparison average and variance data will not appear within the ‘5 yr plan’ tab.

Unfortunately no workaround exists. However, should you require this information please contact Warren Smart to amend your budget plan.

2) DPLS and federated schools were not available for selection from the drop-down lists on the ‘Instructions’ tab.

Unfortunately no workaround exists. However, should you require this information please contact Warren Smart to amend your budget plan.

3) The ‘Other Income’ report was incorrectly picking up the wrong CFR codes from the ‘Trial Balance’ and ‘New Year Budget’ tabs. This has now been corrected and now picks up all ledger codes that link to CFR income codes I06, I07, I08 and I13.

Unfortunately no workaround exists. However, should you require this information please contact Warren Smart to amend your budget plan.

4) Should the difference in teachers pay and teachers performance related pay be greater than £100,000, you will see ‘####’ in cells P7, Q7 and R7 within the ‘Teachers Performance Related’ tab as the cells are not wide enough to view the figures.

As soon as you apply a budget to the teachers performance related costs within the ‘New Year Budget’ tab the ‘####’ will disappear and it is possible to input a formula into the ‘New Year Budget’ on the row for ‘Teacher Pay – Performance Related’ that will automatically update as you update/amend your teaching staff.

To do this, click on the ‘New Year Budget’ tab and in the cell E14 enter:

=’Teachers Performance Related’!T7-Teachers!T7

Copy the formula across to cells F14 and G14 within the ‘New Year Budget’ tab and you will notice that as you update/amend the ‘Teachers Performance Related’ or ‘Teachers’ tab, the budget for the teacher performance related pay within the ‘New Year Budget’ tab will automatically update accordingly.
