Administration 36: Mutual Fund 2018/19

The Mutual Fund Calculator for 2018/19 is now available. The Mutual Fund premium rates have reduced by 10% for teachers and 2.2% for support staff for 2018/19 compared to 2017/18.

Please note that all non-maintained schools (Academies/Free Schools) who wish to join or stay part of the Mutual Fund for 2018/19, are required to complete the online staffing form (as of the January 2018 payroll run); without this information the Mutual Fund Team will not be able to calculate your premium for the coming year.

If you’re already subscribed to the Mutual Fund, but wish to amend your buy-in level, please use the Amend your existing mutual fund agreement form; otherwise we will assume you wish to remain at the same level.

As ever, if you were not a member of the Mutual Fund in 2017/18 but would like to Join the Mutual Fund for 2018/19, a 7% joining fee will also be incurred.

To opt out of the Mutual Fund for 2018/19, you will need to fill out the Leave the Mutual Fund Online Form.

Please respond with any actions required prior to 31st March 2018.

Our Mutual Fund Webpage will answer a lot of queries you may have, but should you have any further queries or questions, please email the mailto:financeschoolsmutualfund-mailbox@devon.gov.uk.

I am unable to access the calculator – it says that it is password protected.

We are aware that some schools are having difficulties downloading/viewing the Mutual Fund Calculator for 2018/19 since it was released and we are currently in discussions with ICT on how to rectify this issue. Should no solution be found before Friday 23rd February, then a copy of the Mutual Fund Calculator will be sent to all schools via Anycomms for you to download.
