Guide: Post-16 transport

Applications

If you are offered a place on a full time course in Year 12, your establishment should let us know. If you’re entitled to transport assistance we’ll endeavour to send you a payment form so that you or your parents can pay and/or provide proof of receipt of a means tested benefit.

If you:

  • attend a school in another county
  • change address after 1 March in year 11
  • are offered a place at Devon sixth form or college after 15 August
  • have special educational needs
  • are in year 13 and above
  • think you should be eligible for transport assistance, but have not been contacted by us by 1 August

please download the Post-16 transport application form or call 0345 155 1019 to request a copy and return it to the address included on the form, urgently.

If you apply late it may take a few weeks to process your pass and you will have to pay your own fare until you get it. Refunds of these fares will not be paid.

If you are a returning student in Year 13 or above, and are still under 19 years old, you will need to reapply. We’ll send you an application form in May which you must return by 1 June. If you do not receive a form you can download the Post-16 transport application form or call 0345 155 1019 to request a copy.

Students with special educational needs (usually those who currently have a statement of special needs or Educational Health Care Plan) should apply on the application form below which asks specific questions so that we can carefully assess and provide appropriate travel arrangements.
