Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is additional funding that is available to Early Years providers to support children’s development, learning and care.

EYPP provides extra money to the Early Years Provider for three and four-year-old children whose parents are in receipt of a qualifying benefit, are in care to a local authority or who have left care under an adoption, special guardianship or child arrangement order.

If you are eligible, your childcare provider could receive additional funding, on the 15 hour universal entitlement , to improve the quality of the early years education provided for your child. This could include, for example:

  • Additional training and support for staff working on specialised areas such as speech and language.
  • Investing in partnership working with colleagues in the area to learn from each other.
  • Resources to help raise the quality of your child’s education.

If you think you may be eligible for EYPP please speak to your childcare provider.
