The Level 3 Training consists of four sessions and it is important that they are undertaken in order.

Level 3 P1 Safeguarding Adults

Description:

This module will provide you with the knowledge you require to respond appropriately to safeguarding adults alerts, undertake initial risk assessments, consider evidence and make emergency protection plans. Attendees will be encouraged to reflect on their own experience when discussing the issues involved.

Who Should Attend:

This module is suitable for all staff with responsibility for responding to Safeguarding Adults concerns

Level 3 P2 Mental Capacity Act – Decision Making Rights and Risk

Description:

This module will provide you with the knowledge you require to implement the mental capacity act appropriately. This will include preventing abuse, positive risk taking and the appropriate use of restrictions and restraint as well as advance and proxy decision making arrangements.  Attendees will be encouraged to reflect on their own experience when discussing the issues involved. Delegates must have completed the P1 Safeguarding module within the last 3 years to attend this programme

Who Should Attend:

This module is suitable for all staff who commission services and those in the PVI sector with line management responsibility or who work alone

Level 3 P4 Preventing Abuse and Responding to Poor Practice

Description:

This course will give those who come into contact with services the opportunity to explore how providers can demonstrate that they are meeting the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety. It will consider what actions can be taken by providers to prevent harm occurring in the first place.

The completion of P1 Safeguarding and P2 MCA is required to attend this session

Who Should Attend:

Any person who regularly comes into contact with health and social care services
