Decision to award the contract for RM1034-14: Business travel booking system following a call-off from Crown Commercial Services framework for ‘wider public sector travel management services’.
To award a contract (Subject to due diligence) to the below organisation for the provision of the above contract. The contract will commence on 1st April 2015 for the period of 24 months with an option to extend for a further 24 months.

A call-off contract was entered into under Lot 2 of the Crown Commercial Services framework for ‘wider public sector travel management services’. Click Travel was the sole supplier under this Lot and therefore no further competitive tender exercise needed to be carried out.
The decision to award to Click Travel has been taken on the basis of the supplier giving best value for money against the current supplier and Devon County Council being able to see monetary savings throughout the life of the contract.
An alternative was for Devon County Council to tender the business in its own right; however this would not provide the same economies of scale to the market that the Crown Commercial services contract offers as a national framework. In addition undertaking a tender exercise would incur the additional costs of running the competitive process in a market that has recently been competed by Crown Commercial services.
