Decision to extend the current contract for CP988-14 – South Devon Blocks – Dartmouth & Kingsbridge.

Decision Taken:

To extend the contract to the organisations below for the provision of the above contract. The extension will commence on 1st May 2015, for the period of 12 Months.

Kingsbridge Block: Quality Care Devon Ltd, 21 Starpitten Grove, Torquay, TQ2 8BX

Dartsmouth Block: Sanctuary Home Care Ltd, Chamber Court, Castle Street Worcester, WR1 3ZQ

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:

The decision has been taken on the basis of supplier(s) achieving the highest overall score within a best value tender (optimum combination of whole-life costs and quality) in line with the European Procurement Directives award procedure of Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT).

Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:

A competitive process was undertaken in February 2014 from which 4 bids were received for the Dartmouth Block and 6 bids were received for the Kingsbridge Block these were considered as part of the formal evaluation process.
